SSI Receives Patriotic Employer Award
Manassas Park, VA — October 27, 2017
On October 11, 2017, Manassas Park based Storage Strategies, Inc. (SSI) was awarded the Patriotic Employer Award by the Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR). The award reflects efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide range of measures, including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed. SSI enables its employees’ participation in the Guard and Reserve through a human resource policy that provides two weeks of paid reserve leave per year.
“Credit for this award and the support given to all our reservist employees is owed to April Duncan, our highly esteemed HR Director,” said SSI President, Steve Mackie. “April goes the extra mile for every SSI employee — especially our activated guard and reserve personnel.”
The ESGR is a Department of Defense Committee that works to develop and promote employer support for Guard and Reserve service by advocating relevant initiatives, recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of applicable laws, and resolving conflict between employers and service members.
