SSI Becomes Employer Participant in VIEW Program
 
Manassas Park, VA — November 16, 2017
 
On October 1, 2017, Manassas Park based Storage Strategies, Inc. (SSI) signed an agreement with the City of Manassas Park Department of Social Services to become an employer participant in the Virginia Initiative for Employment not Welfare Program (VIEW). The VIEW Program provides employment opportunities to assist individuals in attaining the goal of self-sufficiency by providing participants with resources for job training, job readiness, unpaid community work experience, volunteer assignments, educational opportunities, interview strategies, and resume building.
 
As an employer participant in the program, SSI will work with City of Manassas Park Department of Social Services to provide work experience and training to participants of the VIEW Program.  SSI will be offering program participants computer skills training and job search skills assistance through it’s Career Resource Center (CRC) in Manassas Park.  SSI’s CRC provides free basic computer skills training to residents of Manassas Park as a collaborative effort with the City of Manassas Park and the Manassas Park Community Center.
