SSI Awarded a Navy SeaPort-e prime contract

Washington, DC, Nov 19 2013 – 

Storage Strategies, Inc. (SSI) has been competitively awarded a five-year indefinite quantity indefinite delivery contract by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, in Dahlgren, Virginia under the Navy’s SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-e) Acquisition Program for services procurements. SSI President, Steve Mackie, said, "We are very happy to have this contract vehicle available to us as a prime now. Our company’s first work was as a SeaPort-e subcontractor on the Navy’s NEMAIS Program.” Mackie, a Navy veteran of 20 years, went on to say, “I look forward to supporting the Navy and Marine Corps mission again through SeaPort-e.” In addition to its SeaPort-e work, SSI has also had contracts supporting the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA), Defense Logistics Agency, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. 

 The government estimates a maximum of $5.3 billion of services will be procured per year via orders issued under the SeaPort-e multiple award contracts. These awards contain provisions to set aside requirements for small businesses, service disabled veteran owned small businesses, 8a business development program and historically under-utilized business zone small businesses. Under this multiple award contract, SSI will be able to compete for individual task orders solicited within its zones of performance. This contract has a five-month base period with one five-year option.
