(SSI), a leading HUBZone-certified provider of IT, cybersecurity, cloud, and engineering services is excited to announce the acquisition of WCG Solutions, an established and respected San Diego-based Defense Industry firm with 30 years of Federal Government experience delivering advanced full-spectrum engineering, lifecycle, communications, network, integration, testing, and logistics support services to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, and U.S. Space Force.

This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in SSI’s long-term growth strategy, expanding its footprint in systems engineering, communications, testing and training, and logistics support capabilities along with WCG Solutions’ impeccable reputation for exceptional technical excellence, customer commitment, and extensive expertise in driving innovative systems engineering solutions – aligning with SSI’s commitment to operational excellence and mission success.

Under this new structure, Slav Plaskota, former President of WCG and a seasoned industry leader, will head SSI’s newly created Communications Business Unit in San Diego. This team will manage a portfolio of critical projects supporting NAVWAR and Space Force. SSI’s enterprise IT and cyber defense strengths are now enhanced by WCG’s track record in solution development and secure systems implementation in tactical environments. WCG’s highly specialized technical expertise within critical defense domains, systems design and implementation will further augment SSI's professional engineering potential.
