Manassas Park based SSI received DoD approval of its accounting system. Steve Mackie, President of SSI said they have invested significantly over the last five years in their corporate infrastructure. Mackie continued that these investments have strengthened SSI’s technical offerings and enhanced its program governance practices. Recent investments in financial analytics and a cloud based DCAA timekeeping system have won praise from our customers, distinguishing us as a business with truly unique internal resources and financial systems. SSI’s emphasis on creating a solid corporate infrastructure led to this significant milestone underscoring their effectiveness in offering customers top-of-the-line systems and controls. On January 8, 2015, the Defense Contract Audit Agency informed SSI that it has approved its accounting system in accordance with the criteria in FAR 53.209-1(f). The approval is based on an evaluation by the Defense Contract Audit Agency.
