SSI is seeking an experienced sales professional with demonstrated success selling Information Technology (IT) services to commercial customers.  The successful candidate will assist SSI in breaking into the commercial IT services market and establishing a new base of business.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Generate new revenue from the sale of IT services to commercial clients

  • Responsible for all aspects of client relationships and sales cycle including: sales to new and existing clients, price negotiation, pipeline management, training, and marketing support

  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, telemarketing, and referrals

  • Identify and qualify potential clients by telephone and premise visits

  • Prospect, qualify, and close multiple opportunities in parallel, while maintaining ongoing business partner relationships

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, etc.

  • Promote the overall success of the company through constantly improving sales, sales techniques and relationships

  • Participate in business networking groups within assigned territory

  • Submit bi-weekly activity reports, as required

  • Generate quotes and proposals as necessary

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Go getter, self-starter, who takes initiative and is able to maintain professionalism and flexibility

  • Must have strong technical knowledge of a wide range of IT services such as: virtual data storage and data recovery, network infrastructure operations, tier 1 and 2 desktop and server operations, troubleshooting and maintenance, cyber security terminology to include: incident management, intrusion detection, malware and forensic analysis

  • Demonstrated experience meeting deadlines and goals for sales revenue

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Ability to travel for work, attend trade shows, and lift up to 40 pounds

  • Positive, upbeat personality with ability to influence others and strong negotiation skills

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business or related field

  • Minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in commercial sales of IT services

  • Experience working independently as a telecommuter with minimal supervision
